About Bujerum
The name Bujerum was derived from the language spoken by the Traditional Custodians of the land upon which the apartments stand, the Kombumerri Aboriginal people. The word translates to spirit in English - recognising and respecting the culture, traditions and aspirations of the Traditional Owners. The name is also fitting for the building itself. Originally built in the 1930s, it has shown spirited resilience to natural and manmade forces and stands as a grand example of historic Burleigh Beach architecture. Renovated in 2013 by its owners, the building still maintains the original Queenslander character of the area. Building work in the street, but that seems to be the case for the whole of Burleigh and really didn’t affect us too much. Would recommend.

Directions
(10km; approximately 20 minutes) After leaving the airport, turn left onto the Gold Coast Highway, then follow signs to Burleigh Heads/Surfers Paradise. Once you come into Burleigh you will see the park and beach directly in front of you. At the lights turn right on to Goodwin Terrace. You will find Bujerum Apartments to your right, approximately 1km along Goodwin Terrace, at the corner of Hayle Street.
(85km; approximately 1 hour 10 minutes) Follow all signs to the Gold Coast. Take exit 85 (Reedy Creek Rd) towards Burleigh, and continue until you come to a T-intersection which is the Gold Coast Highway. Turn right at the lights and continue along the Gold Coast Highway. Just before the next set of lights veer left on to Goodwin Terrace. You will find Bujerum Apartments to your right, approximately 1km along Goodwin Terrace, at the corner of Hayle Street.
